The Andaman & Nicobar Football Association celebrated International Women's Day by organizing an exhilarating Women's Football match, promoting women empowerment and sportsmanship.
The event witnessed remarkable enthusiasm as teams showcased their talent, determination, and team spirit. Sports Authority of India (Football Girls) emerged as the winners of the tournament, displaying an outstanding performance that won them not just the championship but also the admiration of the crowd. Their discipline and fair play on the field earned them the prestigious Fair Play Award, highlighting their commitment to sportsmanship and ethical game play. All the athletes were trained by Mohd Sadique, SAI coach.
The event was a testament to the growing prominence of women's football in the region, encouraging young female athletes to pursue the sport with passion.
