Centenarian Ethel Richardson passes away at Mus Village of Car Nicobar

  Smti Ethel Richardson, wife of Late Bishop John Richardson, passed away at her residence at Mus Village, Car Nicobar at 11.15 AM today (Jan 28, 2016). The Chairman and Members of Tribal Council, Car Nicobar have expressed their condolence on the sad demise of Smti Ethel Richardson. She was 105 years old and she has left behind two daughters; namely Smti Mercy James and Smti Neena Thomas. The funeral will take place at Mus Cathedral Church Compound at 2 pm on 29th January 2016.
Ethel Richardson was born on 16th July 1910. She was a prominent social worker and active worker of Mother's Union, Car Nicobar. She stood by her husband during hard times and was a source of encouragement to the Islanders. She bravely defied the traditional practices and brought Nicobar into the main stream of life, in which, she transformed the society into Modern Nicobar.
The State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Vishal Jolly has also condoled the demise of Smt Ethel Richardson. 
    Meanwhile, the Bishop of A&N Diocese, Church of North India, Rt. Rev. Christopher Paul, priests and the congregation of CNI Church A&N Islands have also expressed their condolence on the sudden demise of Smt. Ethel John Richardson. 
  The Chairman, Board Members and Staff of 'Ellon Hinengo Limited' have also expressed their deep condolence on the demise of Ethel Richardson.
