Hindi workshop for Nodal Officers (OL) held

        As part of the series of programmes being organised in connection with Hindi Fortnight-2022, a Hindi Workshop for Nodal Officers (Official Language) and dealing staff (Hindi) was held today in the Conference Hall of Secretariat for various Department/Offices of A&N Administration.      Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha, IAS, Secretary (Home), A & N Administration was the chief guest on the occasion. 
     Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest stated that Hindi is the official language of the country and is the lingua franca of A&N Islands. Despite that, we have not been able to implement Hindi effectively; hence we must maximize the usage of Hindi in official works. He said, the facility to implement Hindi in official work through e-office is also available and can be used without any difficulty.
    Earlier, the Assistant Director, Official Language, Shri Rajender Indwaar welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Hindi. 
    Meanwhile, as part of the fortnight, Elocution competition for the students studying in class 9th to 10th of Senior Secondary Schools of Headquarter area will be organized on Sept. 23 at Official Language Department, Archives Building, Secretariat, a press release from OL Deptt. said.
