Khelo India NTPC City Archery tournament concludes

       The Khelo India NTPC City Archery Championship, allotted by the Archery Association of India, was successfully concluded at KV-I School, Sri Vijaya Puram, on 30th March, 2025. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation, and the closing ceremony was graced by Smt. Debasmita Bal, Assistant Director, SAI, Sri Vijaya Puram, and Shri Sukhvinder Singh, Principal, KV-1, who were the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively. They presented medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up on this occasion.
      The Indian Round event was particularly captivating, with remarkable performances that exceeded the results of past tournaments.
      In the Men's category, Jaspal Singh, an employee of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, claimed the Gold Medal with a score of 635. Aditya Singh secured the Silver Medal with a score of 475, while Manoj Tirkey bagged the Bronze with a score of 452.     In the Women's category, Daksheya Kumaresan of Carmel School, Sri Vijaya Puram, emerged as the Gold Medalist with a score of 422. The Silver Medal was shared by Devika Baraik and Chandrika Baraik, both from Mayabunder, with scores of 389 and 366, respectively, earning them the silver and bronze medals.
    This tournament showcased the talent and competitive spirit of archers, adding another significant chapter to the growing legacy of the Khelo India initiative, a press release from ANSOA said.
