Odissi Workshop-cum-Demonstration by Kala Kendra concludes

    In order to preserve and promote classical art forms amongst youth, Kala Kendra- A&N Islands Society for Promotion of Art & Culture in collaboration with Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC-MACAY) organized a series of Workshop-cum-Demonstrations on Odissi for college  students from Feb. 23 to 25, 2021 at Port Blair with the sole objective of generating awareness on cultural heritage of classical dances of India amongst young students.
    Odissi Workshop-cum-Demonstration was organized at ANCOL, DBRAIT, JNRM, Andaman Law College, ANIIMS, Tagore College. The event was featured by Smti. Shashwati Garai Ghosh, Odissi exponent from Kolkata, who mesmerized the students with every masterpiece performance. Large number of students and faculties enjoyed the dance recital and participated enthusiastically and got exposed to the cultural heritage of classical dance of India, a press release from Directorate of Art & Culture said.
