District Administration, SA takes swift action against illegal activities and encroachments

     In a steadfast commitment to reclaim and protect public assets, the District Administration, South Andaman has intensified its strategically coordinated drive against illegal activities and encroachments. This ongoing effort aims to restore Government land to its rightful use, reinforcing the Administration's dedication to upholding the rule of law and preserving public spaces.
      An unauthorized encroachment in the form of a semi-structured shed was dismantled in Tushnabad village. The revenue team successfully reclaimed approximately 500 square meters of Government land, restoring it to Government Khaata.
       Additionally, Revenue officials inspected a 14.60 hectare (146000 Sq. Meter) Government owned land in Bindraban village, where an individual was found engaged in the unauthorized extraction and processing of rubber sheets from latex obtained from rubber trees on the site. The illegal activity was immediately halted, and the facility was closed on-site.
     The Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman has reiterated the Administration's zero-tolerance policy towards illegal encroachments and unauthorized activities on Government land. Citizens have strongly been urged to respect public property boundaries and refrain from engaging in unlawful practices. The Administration seeks the full cooperation of residents in safeguarding public assets and ensuring their proper utilization for the benefit of the community.
