LMV owner driver course by SBI RSETI concludes

State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sri Vijaya Puram has successfully completed 30 days LMV Owner Driver course with 29 trainees, out of which, 19 are women trainees and remaining 10 are men. The course commenced on Nov. 6 and culminated today. The valedictory function was graced by Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS, Secretary (RD, ULBs & PRIs) & Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman and Shri B Binoy, Deputy Director, Transport Department.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Arjun Sharma, appreciated SBI RSETI for conducting the programme and also the trainees who have been trained in the Institute. He also stated that such skill development will empower the women and also help in development of their community. He also asked SBI to arrange for marketing space for the produce of such trainees mostly who are from rural areas and members of SHG.
Welcoming the guests and trainees, Shri Siddhartha Gupta, Regional Manager, SBI informed that it is for the first time such a programme has been conducted by Sbi RSETI with focus on women drivers considering the tourism potential available in the Islands. He also placed on record the support given by Transport Department and A&N Police Deptt. to the trainees during the training.
The trainees shared their experience who were high in their confidence of the skill that they have learned during the training.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Shri C Raj, Director
of the Institute, a press release from SBI RSETI said.
