Seamless delivery of services to students Chief Secretary launches end to end integration of 5 DBT Schemes of Department of Education & Higher Education with Service Plus platform of MeitY

       The Chief Secretary, A & N Administration,  Shri Jitendra Narain today launched end to end integration of 5 Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Schemes of Department of Education and Higher Education  with Service Plus  platform of MeitY, GoI in the presence of Secretary (Education), Director (Education) and senior officers of A&N Administration.
The  integrated schemes are         Reimbursement of cash in lieu of school uniform; Reimbursement of cash in lieu of stationery kit to the school students; Scholarship to the school students in the form of reimbursement of mess bill; Scholarship to the college students (Degree & Diploma) in the form of reimbursement   of   mess   bill   (JNRM,   ANCOL,   MGGC, TGCE and DBRAIT) and Scholarship to the students pursuing higher education in mainland in the form of mess bill reimbursement.
      Service Plus is an open source based configurable, unified framework for service delivery and grievance redressal. The web-based application facilitates rapid rollout of any service, any time, at any level and by any Government entity. The integration of above 5 schemes with Service Plus will simplify and improve the delivery of services to the beneficiaries. An estimated amount of more than Rs 5 crore is likely to be disbursed under these schemes directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
     The eServices portal involves integrated and seamless delivery of citizen services through automation of workflow, back end digitization, integration, and process redesigning and end-to-end computerization for providing services in a most efficient manner to the students. Applicants can avail the services online through the link https://eservices.andaman.
gov.in, a press release from Directorate of Education said.
