Diversion of flights to different states urged

  The PCC President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, in a letter addressed to the Lt Governor, has requested for considering diverting flights from Port Blair to Delhi via Lok Nayak Jayprakash airport Patna, Birsa Munda Airport, Jharkhand and Lal Bahadur Sharstri airport, Varanasi as a lot of Islanders hail from these States and do visit their home towns on various occasions. The diversion of the flight will benefit a large number of people and also boost tourism sector to some extent, he added. Shri Sharma also expressed his gratitude to the Lt. Governor for introduction of new air routes between island and mainland and strengthening of helicopter services within the Islands.
