Team Andaman & Nicobar Islands shines at Regional India Skills Competition held at Patna

   Regional India Skills competition organized by NSDC, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India was held at Patna, Bihar from Oct. 21 to 23. A total of 245 youth from eight States/Union Territories from the East and NorthEast participated in the competition including wild card/corporate entries. Team Andaman & Nicobar Islands comprising of 25 competitors took part in 13 different skills. India Skills Competitions showcase and inspire excellence in skills. Competitions provide an opportunity to see a skilled profession in action and inspire options of a vocational career.
    Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, Shri Phagu Chauhan inspired the winners and participants of the skill competition during the Award ceremony. The team from Andaman and Nicobar Islands performed well and won 7 medals. Cash prizes of Rs. 21,000 for Gold medalist and Rs. 11,000 for silver medalists were given along with the medals.
