Chief Secretary holds inter-departmental coordination meeting

       The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Jitendra Narain today held an inter-departmental review meeting with the Secretaries and Heads of Department in the conference hall of Secretariat here.  During the meeting, he stressed on the need for inter-departmental coordination in implementation of various projects.
  He said, Departments should coordinate on all issues and issues pertaining to APWD have been taken up earlier and now issues concerning Forest Department are being taken up. He asked the Departments to do internal study of various projects and things they have done in the past. In this direction, he directed all Departments to make a track history of the assets they have built over the past 25 years.
    The Chief Secretary also directed the Departments to interact on implementation of various projects and sort out the impediments and focus on the interest of the projects through better coordination among each other whether it is APWD, Forest or Defence. Many developmental projects are held up and not taking off due to inter-departmental issues, Chief Secretary observed. He further mentioned that the Govt. assets should not go waste, which have been approved over years and the Department should address their audited legal cases. He stated that the hiring of vehicle as far as possible should be reduced. The Chief Secretary also mentioned that the coordination meeting shall be held every Monday.    During the meeting, he also reviewed the performance of various Departments on BCSS (Beneficiary, Contractors, Suppliers, Source) parameters and gave directions for preparation of a consolidated data on Beneficiary, Contractor, Supplier, Source of all the Departments.
