34-bedded Men's Hostel under General Pool accommodation inaugurated at Car Nicobar

    The District Administration, Nicobars is creating infrastructure to provide better accommodation facility to the Officials posted at Car Nicobar. In this regard, a 34 bedded Men's Hostel at Car Nicobar was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, Shri Kishore Kshirsagar Lakshman and the Chief Captain of Tribal Council, Car Nicobar, Shri Lionald Nicomede today.
    The building has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.50 crores and the plinth area is 1600 sqm. The project has been completed within the stipulated timeline of three years despite restriction due to the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.
   The triple storied hostel building exclusively for men is having accommodation facility for 34 persons (individual 1BHK rooms with toilet and balcony facility).The building is also having a common dining hall and common kitchen for the benefit of occupants, a press release from DC (Nicobars) said.
