'Checkmate on Streets' brings Wimberlygunj Junction to life with the Spirit of Street Chess

The 4th edition of 'Checkmate on Streets- Chess for Everyone' concluded on a high note at Wimberlygunj Junction, South Andaman on April 13, radiating energy, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of community spirit. Organized by the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) in collaboration with Living on the Edge (LOTE), the event redefined how chess can connect people beyond the traditional boundaries of the game.
The event was formally inaugurated by Shri P Abdul Aziz, Ex-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Stewartgunj, who made the ceremonial first move on the giant garden chess board against Shri Shyamal Jaidhar, Ex-Pradhan, Brindaban, a press release from ANCA said.
