Training prog. on tailoring & fashion designing- an initiative by Member of Parliament gets underway

   Skill Development is the key to improve employability and income earning opportunities for women and for enhancing sustainable rural development and livelihood. This was said by Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A & N Islands while inaugurating a three month duration Skill Development Training on 'Tailoring and Fashion Designing' organized by him at Sundar Colony, Haddo on April 3. He said, skill is the bridge between job and workforce but majority of our female workforce are unskilled. The Member of Parliament said, women economic participation and empowerment are fundamental to strengthening women's rights.
      The MP said, economic empowerment of women is a pre-requisite for sustainable development and skilling and up skilling of women is very important to boost their confidence and help them to take up income generation activities for their livelihood and become independent. He offered all possible support and help for their endeavour in future.
      Over 100 ladies of Sundar Colony Haddo registered their name for the training programme being organized by the Member of Parliament. The training Centre was inaugurated by the Member of Parliament along with other guests. The participant trainees (women) thanked the MP for organizing such important skill development training for the benefit of Women of Sunder Colony, free of cost.  Similar programmes were conducted in different places in which hundreds of poor women were benefitted and are earning their livelihood, a press release from MP Office said.
