Revenue Officials of Diglipur Tehsil launches eviction operation to remove unauthorized encroachments on footpaths

      In a continued effort to ensure public safety and preserve the integrity of pedestrian walkways, the Revenue Officials of Diglipur Tehsil have launched an eviction operation to remove all unauthorized encroachments on footpaths throughout Subhash Bazaar, Diglipur today. During the drive, 40 obstacles including ghumties (small kiosk) and various household items obstructing the footpath were cleared.
   The initiative has been taken consequent upon receipt of numerous complaints from residents and commuters about the growing issue of unauthorized encroachments on footpaths by vendors, illegal structures, and other obstacles. 
     The Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur has urged all the residents and shopkeepers of Diglipur, to refrain from encroaching upon pedestrian footpaths to maintain public safety and enhance the beauty of the  community spaces. Unauthorized encroachments not only disrupt the free movement of pedestrians but also create safety hazards for everyone, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with disabilities.
    It is emphasized that any further encroachments will be met with strict action, including removal of unauthorized structures and penalties as per law, a press release from AC, Diglipur said.
