'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan' Institutional cleaning by all departments of A&N Admin. & other organizations held

The Govt. of India has launched a nationwide sanitation and cleanliness campaign from Sept. 25, the birth anniversary of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, which will culminate on Oct. 11, 2015, on the day of the birth anniversary of Shri Jai Prakash Narain.
  The campaign is being held at State, District and Gram Panchayat levels to give momentum to ongoing 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan'.
   As part of the drive, institutional cleaning by all Departments of A&N Administration and other autonomous bodies was held today. All the departments of the Administration and other organizations participated in the drive enthusiastically and cleaned their respective premises.
  Similarly, cleaning of Govt. and private hospitals/clinics by respective Heads of the Institutions will be done on Sept. 30. This programme will be coordinated and organised by the Directorate of Health Services.
   On Oct. 1, cleaning of roads and streets including road side drains/bus stoppages, passengers sheds will be taken up by PBMC, APWD and Defence in their respective jurisdiction.
   The Govt. of India is committed to achieving 'Swachch Bharat' status by Oct. 2, 2019, coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
  Meanwhile, along with other departments, the Department of Sports also conducted a cleanliness drive today in which all officers of the department including Shri Ingit Pratap Singh and Shri Gur Kirpal Singh participated.
