Public Procurement Portal 'MSME Sambandh' Tracking implementation of procurement from MSEs by CPSEs

The Minister of State for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises launched a Public Procurement Portal 'MSME Sambandh' on 08.12.2017. The main objective of the portal is to track the implementation of the Public Procurement from MSEs by Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) including SC/ST MSEs and contain the necessary information relating to the requirement of (CPSEs) in terms of products & Services. This portal will help in effective monitoring while also providing MSEs a detailed list of the products and services required by the CPSEs. These details will include names of items being procured, quantity and their specifications. All Ministries/CPSEs will be provided with 'login' and 'password' to access the portal.
Under the Public Procurement Policy, every Central Government Ministry, Department and Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) shall procure a minimum of 20% of their total annual value of goods or services from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). Also 4% of total procurement of goods and services shall be made from MSEs owned by SC & ST entrepreneurs, a communication said.
