Science fair-cum-activities held at Mayabunder

  A day long science fair - cum - activities for the students of Mayabunder Educational Zone was organized at Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Mayabunder by Andaman Nature Club in collaboration with Science Wing, Directorate of Education, Port Blair and NCSTC, Department of Science & Technology, GOI, New Delhi on Aug 24. Smti. Vanjulavally Sridhar, Divisional Forest Officer, Mayabunder inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp. Shri. Sanjib Kumar Sinha, PI of the programme welcomed the gathering. The resource person from DST emphasized the head for inculcating scientific temper among students. Three hundred students from thirteen schools in the zone participated in the programme. They also displayed working models. Later the chief guest reiterated to have a strong observation in order to learn faster. She interacted with the students to have a passion to succeed. Various activities like Magic show, Puppet show, Toon Competition etc. were conducted in which the students participated with enthusiasm. The programme ended with a vote of thanks.
