Naval NCC Cadets carries out firing practice at Birchgunj firing range

    As part of the ongoing annual training camp 2020-21, eighty five Senior Division/Wing Naval NCC cadets carried out firing practice from 22 Rifles at Birchgunj firing range on the second day of the camp. Camp Commandant, Capt (IN) V. K. Trivedi, Commanding Officer 1(AN) NUNCC briefed the Cadets on nuances of correct and accurate firing. He laid emphasis on safety precautions to be observed during firing. The cadets fired under the watchful eyes of PI Staff of the unit. Cadets were made to practice firing in various positions such as kneeling/standing, in addition to standard lying position.
     Tomorrow, the Cadets will be participating in boat pulling and sailing competitions. Thereafter, the Camp for B Certificate Cadets will be completed, a press release from Camp Commandant, NCC said.
