Implementation of farmer oriented activities ATMA functionaries asked to coordinate with allied departments

     A review meeting on implementation of Centrally Sponsored Scheme 'Support to State Extension Programme for Extension Reforms' (ATMA Scheme) was held under the Chairmanship of Smti. R. Menaka, Secretary (Agri), A &N Administration /Chairman Inter Departmental Working Group, at Zonal Agriculture Office here today.
    In her address, the Secretary (Agri) called upon the BTM and ATM from each zone to highlight their duties and responsibilities. She also directed all the Zonal Officers to conduct a meeting with all BTM & ATM at Zonal level and make them aware of their duties and responsibilities.

The BTM and ATM were directed to maintain monthly tour diaries. She also directed the ATMA functionaries to coordinate with all allied departments in implementing farmer oriented activities.

    Further, She desired to conduct an induction  training for all ATMA functionaries at Directorate level, inviting resource persons from Agriculture and
allied department so as to make ATMA functionaries competent in disseminating  information to farmers effectively.

    At the outset, the Director of Agriculture /State Nodal officer(ER), Dr. G.S Pandey welcomed the gathering and explained about various activities of ATMA. The

Mantu Biswas through a power point presentation appraised about the manpower deployment, activities undertaken during the year and financial status.  Project Directors (ATMA), Deputy Project Director (ATMA), Member Secretary (ZTT), and all other ATMA functionaries of all the three districts attended the meeting, a communication from the State Nodal Officer, Directorate of Agriculture said here.
